A tolerance block on a drawing stating dimensional tolerances-unless otherwise specified has geometric sym "// Parallelism +/-.001/IN" for tolerance. If I had a ten inch piece, with parallel sides, what would be the final tolerance from end to end? Would it be cumulative, +/- .01, or would it be +/- .001 total. ANSI Y14.5 does not appear to address this type of tolerancing.
