Edit
I AM A DESIGNER OF MICROWAVE FILTERS AND QUITE OFTEN WE USE SCREWS OR STUDS WITH AN ELECTRICAL CAVITY TO FINE TUNE THE WAVELENGTHS TO THEIR CORRECT SETTINGS.OFTEN WE HAVE FILTERS THAT ARE SUBJECT TO VIBRATION AND SHOCK. WHAT I HAVE FOUND IS THAT THERE IS HIGH INSERTION LOSS (BAD CONTACT) AT MY TUNING SCREWS.WHAT I THINK IS THAT THE SCREW IS NOT MAKING GOOD CONTACT WITH ITS COUNTERPART THREAD. THREADS ARE ALSO SILVER PLATED SO THAT ADDS ANOTHER INCONSISTANCY.IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO TO GET A BETTER FIT?OR IS THERE SUCH A THING CALLED AN EXPANDING THREADDED SCREWS?
