Hello,
Consider a 2DOF system, with 2 masses where in between them there is a damper.Springs are connected to the bottom mass to the ground and another spring in between the masses.
I understand that when the damping of the system increased, resonant peaks is attenuated, but why is it that the isolation is lost?

Homework?
Is the second mass used for isolation of the first?
Write the ODE equations an solve them for your answer.
