I purchased some rails and carriages which have a rubber seal to keep out the contaminants. The problem is, the carriages will be moved by hand and the seals make it rather hard to move. I need to know if it will be ok to remove the seals and run the carriages with no grease (it will be a low amount of travel and a load of only 50#).

It all depend on the enviroment, if no dust or water or any other possible contaminant , of course you can pick it out.
