hello
i faced one question regarding the principle behind the formation and removal of slag. can we say that slag comes upwards during liquid metal formation in blast furnace due to buoyancy? is slag comes upwards due to density variation or buoyancy? what is the difference between them?

Please clarify this kindly.
thank u

The density variation is what causes the bouyancy effect. If you have a fluid with a material that is less dense than that fluid in the fluid, that density difference will cause the material to move up through the fluid.
