The problem:
I have a 1/4" peice of pipe with an ID of .18 flowing compressed air at 500cc/min at 50 psi, into a 1/8" piece of tubing with a small ID of .014. What kind of pressure drop will I encounter with this sudden contraction? will the pressure and flow fully recover down the 1/8" line. Not sure which formulas to use or how to go about it.
