Dear Fellow members,

I welcome your shared expertise and advise on the below:

For structural welding in accordance to AWS D1.1, with majority TKY joints;

1. If all weld connections are full-pen, 100% UT is required, is MPI essential as per code?

2. If we have a 200mm thick EH36 plate butt-welded to a 90mm thick EH69 plate, is PWHT required as per AWS?

3. Is EH69 (Yield 690 MPa) an AWS material grouping?
How shall we identify this material in order to qualify a WPS for welding EH69 to API 5L-X52 ?.
