Hello, we are planning to use loctite on threads of M3 steel bolts.

We are considering to use loctite 243 but can only find 242...

I know, 243 is the developped version of 242!
Is there any danger in using 242 instead of 243 in our design?

Thank you!!

Compare the materials operating specifications and applications information data sheets. This should be available from the manufacturer.

I would compare operating temperatures, humidity, and compatable materials specs..
