I'm a conveyor belt newbies. I plan to construct a 60cm conveyor belt which would use to transfer a a glass of water. May I know what material do I need to use and how do I construct this conveyor belt? Can I construct this with my recycle printer? Because I really interested to build a conveyor belt but I do not have much budget. Thank you first for your kind help. :D

I doubt you would get reasonable results with a printer parts pile. There are no telling how many things around that have geared motors in them. I'd keep looking. As for a cheap and easy material for the belt, try part of an old bed sheet folded a few times and sewn into a loop. Actually, I think working under a budget is the best training an engineering student can get. It makes you dig for resources and work your brain to apply them. This is all the help I want to provide because to do more would rob you of the joy of working it out. I get my biggest kicks, (except for sex), by seeing my mental concepts turn into a real working device. We guys can't have a baby, but conceiving an idea and seeing it through past all problems into production, ... is as close as I can get to it, and I feel as proud as a new daddy, each time!

The worst suggestion of your lifetime may be the catalyst to the grandest idea of the century, never let suggestions go unsaid nor fail to listen to them.
