Can anyone advise the source of the "General tolerance charts Standard shaft-hole fits" at www.engineersedge.com/class_i.htm? |

I created all of the classes 1 - 5 shaft-hole tolerances/fits charts while in the employ of Bell Helicopter Textron during the early - mid 80's. I referenced IT grades, ISO and had a bunch very talented grey haired types review my conclusions. Why do you ask? |

Many thanks for responding. I am not an engineer but I am working towards remanufacturing an old motorcycle race engine using an incomplete set of original factory drawings. I have been trying to evolve a set of fits that I could use in new drawings for one-off manufacture. I aligned the class definitions in your tables with those in another set(also anonymous)which used ISO tolerances and fits and found a high degree of similarity in the values assigned to classes but also some(possibly)significant differences.
