Does anyone know of some data (or formulas) for helping
determine the rotary plain-bearing surface area
requirements (Max Pressure/Velocity) for #1 or #2
diesel fuels?

Diesel fuel injection pumps are a typical application
for such data, as is fuel injectors perhaps.

I have a kinematic viscosity chart showing the relative
viscosity of deisel fuel compared to various lubricants,
but I'm not sure how well that can be extrapolated
considering the other variables (Temperature in the bearing,
Diesel fuel boiling point, and how it is affected
by pressure, etc.)
