I have an outdoor application requiring bolts and wing nuts. After 10-15 years without being disturbed, which material will most likely permit removing the wing nuts: Stainless Steel or Zinc Plated?

Thanks,
JoeFred

Stainless.

Zinc will probably have corroded by then.
Wonder if you could attached a sacrifical manganese anode to it to keep the corrosion away? Might be a mainence issue for such a long time.

Thanks. I'll look into the anode possibility.

A galvanized or marine stainless steel fastener may be another option.
