i have a flexible cylindrical part to be fabricated , the material has been finalised as polyurethane although im not quite sure wht grade of polyurethane to select ..... i would like to know how do i estimate the youngs modulous required to withstand equal load from all sides (similar to hydrostatic pressure ) acting on the cylindrical element .... by considering that the element is made of a series of struts .. the contraint is that i need to choose the most flexible material for the design .........
