If I have 4 sources of kinetic energy that create an upward force of 40- ft lbs each; and these are all connected by mechanisms to a rotating shaft, do I have 160 ft lbs of torque or simply 40 ft lbs total??? I know this may sound ultra elementary to some of you but I would appreciate any input you could provide.
