Hey Everyone,

I have a project to do for college and it involves the structural design of a stand. The stand is in the shape of a pyramid made with 1.5 inch tubular steel and there is a static load on top of it. I have to look into the design using FEA (Ansys).

The problem is that I have to back the FEA up with hand calculations and Im not sure where to start.

Please help

Hi,

I done good projects in FEA- Structural & Thermal Analysis.
First, start hand calculations of the structure, by taking individual part free body diagram, apply loads and get reactions.
you can reach me for any further questions....

Regards
darchi
