I am having serious difficulty attempting to mathmaticaly model an inline web manufacturing system that we are attempting to modify in house. The model would be a dynamic model that would simulate the current throuput of the machine as well as the modified throughput to justify the process improvement that we are evaluating.

The current system intigrates an incremental process step with a continous velocity process step via an accumulation tower, and that is basically the complexity of the model. It seems pretty basic, but I have not been able to develop an effective model for this process yet. There are basically three components in this dynamic system 1) Incremental Velocity Component 2) Accumulator Tower 3) Constant Velocity Component. Does anyone know where I can gets some help modeling this system.
