Hi, everybody. Just got here in search for modulus of elasticity for steel and aluminum, need to check strenth of piston rod.

Steel anywhere from 31.4 x 10^6 psi too 27.4 x 10^6 psi.  Depending on temperature.

Aluminum 9.9 - 10.3 x 10^6 psi

Need more info, must define the alloy being used.

Go to ASM online they have a chart but you will need to know the condition of rod as in the Heat Treated state or you can keep guessing with charts.
