Drive from an induction motor is taken through a variator V-belt drive which has a movable disc & a fixed disc. The requirement of the transmission is to vary the speed from a minimum to a maximum. By moving the movable disc, the pulley ratio of the belt drive can be changed. Both the V-belt & the pulley has an included angle of 28 degree. What will be the impact on the belt slippage when the included angle of the belt or pulley or both is increased to 30 degree?
