outsourcing in china

china is becoming a center of "world factory", more and more company have already moved there, but the point is, what kind of product can be transferred to china for produciton or manufacturing?

My experience has shown that components, generally simple mass production products are best for the "low cost countries" which, includes India, Tiawan and China. For military or simular high technology components and assemblies, that require tight tolerances, or complex manufacturing requirments tend to stay in the US and other European manufacturers (Japan too).

Thanks a lot!

I have a supplier located in china who do manufacture a few mechanical part for others, but how do i get to know their capbility, how do I know their creditability, how much risk should i take?
