I have a new project that involves a billboard sign with a single 30" O.D. 3/8" wall steel tube 40' long and it gets put in the ground 10' in the ground. It calls for a 8' diameter hole 10' deep but I am not sure if I need rebar and I don't know what kind of concrete to use, fiber reinforced etc. If anyone has experiance with this maybe you could shed some light on this and how to hold it up while the concrete cures.

Hi Jerry,
Sorry you had to wait so long for an answer.

Your question will be answered in your local building code. You need to contact your local (where that work will be done) city, township, county, state, or province residing over the code where you got your permit. However if you are out somewhere that is not requiring a code or permit, simply ask a near non controling code district for a copy of the code covering that concept. .. this could be good PR, anyhow. Baring that working, ask a local friendly general contractor or concrete supplier with experience of that nature.

good luck,
