Anyone have ideas or suggestion about best method to gage belt tension:? Currently I am using a "Thumper type gage" basically it vibrates at A=440 Hz when belt is "Thumped.

thanks

I have used a Belt tension gauge before.  This device works by pressing a shaft against the belt normal the rotational installation.  A distance gage  indicates how hard to press against the belt.  Then, the gage meter is read for LBS tension.
