I need to bond a nylon based Velcro to a powder coated surface, I have talked to 3M and they recommend their 300LSE family of adhesives, however they only come on tapes, I would rather not use tape for manufaturing purpose. Any one knows of a solvent type adhesive that I can use? I appreciate the help.

I estimate that you will need a mil spec or equivalent approved material.  There is an adhesive called "Scotch Weld 2216" that is widely used in the defense - space industries. Check it it out.  I believe scotchweld sticks to most anything, and is very rugged.

What industry are you in? Aerospace, commercial? What are your environmentals?

The tape may be adequate for your application.  If you want to bond or chemically adhere the material contact the manufacturer of the Nylon type material and see what they reccommend.

We are in the defense industry.

The Nylon based Velcro that I am using is also from 3M, and they are the ones that recommended the tape adhesive. I have also talked to DOW and Materbond; they don’t seem to have a product that I can use.
