material deflection question

Hi,

I am trying to figure out which material is the most economical to use in a home design project. I am full
of "good ideas" and lots of ambition but lack techical expertise. My question is how thick of plate do I
need to withstand 120 tons of force evenly distibuted over 126 inches and supported at each end. The plate
is mild steel 24" wide X 126" long standing on edge. Or what size of I beam or H beam would I need to withstand
the same force at the same distance same supporting? I need the material to have the very minimum of deflection
at the center point (ie in the small thousandths of an inch).

Thank You for your time and effort
