How to Design a Gearbox?

Hi,
I would like to seek the help of the forum. May i know how do i start designing a gearbox? As in, from where do i start ?
Basically, i am hoping that someone would enlighten me the list of steps from the start till the end in gearbox design. I am really confused as to where to start and what should be included in order to design a gearbox.

Any help would be very much appreciated. :)
