Mark,
I am a mechanical componentr designer. I have design a lot of speed reducers and planet mechanisms. Is it a two stage speed reducer you mean or threee stage speed reducer. I want to double cvheck your design input and outputs and want to make sure you did not do any mistake. just for double check. Do not get me wrong. After making sure that thats the output torque I will suggest you to use a few different material. One of them is certainly going to be 18CrNi10 which has around 1200N/mm^2 of ruoture strength. But first I do want to make sure you have the right output or you can confirm it again. it is a little expensive material. corrosion resistance HIGH strength with good vibration. I will get back you soon.
Serdar.
