Hello
well. this is a kind of funny subject. I have worked as a draftsman before and I encountered with funny things which are against drafting techniques such as hatching the holes in an aerial view.. and some companies has thier own drafting tecniques altough blue printing is an universal language. Nowadays it is almost impossible to find a company that uses this universal language. I really hard time to satisfy some people... but in order to learn that universal language you can buy any engineering design books.. they will teach you the fundamentals.. like architectures.. oh my god.. not all of them but they do not even know how to dimension their design..I could tell u more about my awful experiences but I do not think I am allowed to criticise people here.. what I mean is someone will have hard time to satisfy the other part.. as a draftsman you will always have hard time.. in the right design.. you do need to draw left, top and front view and you will need to draw the necessary cross sections.. thats the basic drawing.. and putting the right dimensions on your design.. just avoid unnecessary "decorations" in your drawings.. make it simple and easy to understand.. Ifu have any further questons about approaching to the design here is my email address XXXXXXX u can drop me a line.. I have a great command of AutoCAD.. u can ask anything you want..
good luck..
Serdar
