Plating and Rivets

There are two C.R.S. parts that are plated prior to spot welding them. How is the spot welded area cured from corrosion?

There are two parts being attached by a countersunk poprivet, then bondo is used to cover the rivet, then painted with a waterbase paint. If the faceplace is bumped the bondo and paint crack thereby leaving the cracked impresion. How can the craching be eliminated?
