Pressure Vessel Nozzle Connection Weld Design

The following are acceptable types of welded nozzle designs and other connections to pressure vessel shells, heads and other geometries.

Acceptable Nozzle Weld and Designs	Notes
	Nozzle with integral reinforcement. For designs that utilize NPA 3 (DN 80) and smaller, exemptions given in UW-16(f)(2) apply. t₁ + t₂ greater or equal to 1.25 t_min
	Nozzle with integral reinforcement. For designs that utilize NPA 3 (DN 80) and smaller, exemptions given in UW-16(f)(2) apply. t₁ or t₂ not lessthan the smaller of the .25 in (6 mm) or t_min
