We have a vortex meter measuring the flow of water to a disposal well. The well acts as a vaccuum, and thus the pressure at the meter is around -70kPa(g). There is concern that the meter is reading incorrectly due to the liquid stream flashing off at low pressures. How would you determine if the liquids were flashing off or not? If they were flashing, would a vortex meter read a value that is higher or lower than actual? What would be a reasonable solution to the problem?Multiphase Vortex Flowmeter |
