Industrial Filtration Systems and equipment are used to remove contaminants from industrial fluids. Systems are available in virtually any configuration required. A typical system will include filtration components, bypass, valve, separation equipment, and associated tubing and interconnects. Modern systems often incorporate electrical / electronic sensors, instrumentation, and control devices. Control devices may include shut off valves, automatic flushing, and flow diverters.

Design and engineering considerations for industrial filtration systems include: system capability with existing equipment, minimum flow rate, filer affectivity, system fluid pressure, type of filter filtration, maintainability, filtration performance, particulate size removal, and system cost.

Industry standards are another consideration. ISO, ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, and PED (European Pressure Equipment Directive) should be considered in the design and specifications.
