Gear box and motor selection fro a given load

I have a platform having weight of 1 Ton. There is a load on platform having approximately same weight (i.e. 1 Ton). The platform has to move with a speed of 150 mm/min. I have to select motor and gearbox to move this platform. Kindly help me to carry out the calculation.

Well, for a start you have mixed Units. If the speed is to be 150mm/min then maybe you are referring to Tonnes instead of Tons. Big difference.
