    blade element momentum theory

Hi there, I'm currently and undergraduate looking to try out different airfoils for analysis to do with tidal turbine blades. I'm currently researching previous papers about these blades and found one I want to model. In order to proceed they said they use blade element momentum theory. They give all parameters required but I still don't know how they come up with the answers or graphs.

The final graphs they produce are:

    Chord length vs (r/R)
    blade twist angle vs (r/R)

The whole process is stressing me out!!!

Any help or point in the right direction would be helpful.
