    Design Programs

    Which is more commonly used in industry:

    - Autodesk Inventor
    - Solidworks

    I have used both at University level but would like to know
    which one is more commonly used in industry

    From experience, I'd say Solidworks is probably the most common. It also depends on the industry sector, I suppose, as to which package performs the best for the task at hand.

    In my travels - Solid Works seems to rule though long time ago AutoCad ruled in small business.

    Its based up on the industry most of them uses Solidworks

    From a good experience, I'd say Solidworks is the most common. It also depends on the industry sector in which you want to work.

    Small-sized even medium-size companies- Solidworks
    Medium-size, Big corporations - PTC Creo

    I used PTC Creo since College years and is all around package unlike solidworks.

    Both of them are most usage. But according to your needs your can try.

    From the experience, I think Autodesk fusion360 is now replacing Solidworks as it is having mare advanced features and cloud storage.

    I think most of the ********** are using solidworks. But it could be vary based on industry.

    Autodesk give you the option of buying Inventor in one of their Design Suites for a bit more than buying Inventor alone and If you want Inventor/Inventor Professional and another Autodesk product such as AutoCAD, then the cost of a Suite is cheaper than buying two separate.

    Yes Solidworks is very good software for Designing
