I am about to start an apprenticeship in engineering and I would like some input regarding which engineering sector has good career prospects (vacancies, salaries, etc) and particularly opportunities for night shifts.
I exclude civil and construction engineering.

I would also say to continue learning everything that your interested in so if later you want to change something in a particular field you can.
