Ok, I am out of my realm here, so I figured I'd better ask for assistance.

One of our customers asked us to provide an electronics cabinet frame set up for 48RU with an overall height of 88". Ok, this was a bit of a challenge, as it had to meet CORE GR-63 requirements, but we got it done. Due to space limitiations (trying to cram 10 pounds of stuff into a 5 pound bag), I was not able to provide room in the base of this frame for a typical dual AC receptacle. Now, our customer has requested a provision for an AC outlet in the base of the cabinet. Great... There just isn't room for a typical 4" x 2-1/8" electrical box in the base of this frame. Affixing an AC raceway to the exterior of the frame was suggested, but our customer declined that solution.

Do any of you electrically-inclined folks have a suggestion as to where I can get a narrow electrical outlet/box combination that would be in the 4" x 1-7/8" range?

I have inclulded a drawing to illustrate my predicament.

Thanks to all,

Ron
