Is civil not highly regarded in America? Or perhaps the link with environmental should be severed? The vast majority of civil engineers do things that are not "environmental engineering". Which has a name close to "environmentalism", which has become a politically-loaded concept. Surely the board should be "civil & structural", and environmental needs its' own category? |

I concur. A "Civil and Structural" board would be appropriate. Perhaps a new board can be set up? I would be a willing participant of such a board. |

Civil Engineering is highly regarded every where but the problem with most of the civil engineers is that they use less forums for discussion as compared to other engineering disciplines. Though there are some civil engineers who are very active on the internet.
