Hi, I just joined this forum to find opinions on the easiest CAD software available. We have AutoCad and some 3D modeling software here at work but many of us would like a simple and easy CAD software that we can learn quickly. Thanks! Nancy Snyder

I think Solidedge ST2 is pretty easy. I've used Autocad in the past and some older cheaper packages. I always had some difficulty achieving what I felt were quality designs with other packages. Incidentally over Thanksgiving I was traveling with a laptop with no CAD package when I had the need to do a floorplan. I tried google Sketchup for the first time and was pretty happy with the results. Free is good |

IronCAD is the fastest and easiest CAD software to learn.
Having taught Solid Edge, Solidworks, and Inventor for many years to college students, Ironcad is a remarkable program. Within minutes, students can be modeling complex solids.
Shaded and colored models can be generated. Animations are easy to produce. |

Interesting comment kinetic, virtually all feature based CAD software are easily learned by absolute newbys. I have seen people totally new to CAD create a 3D model by themselves on Solid Edge, Solid Works, and Autodesk Inventor within thirty minutes with minimal training. Do you work for IronCAD? |

A USA supplier of mine suggested that i use it and after trying i bought it and easily taught myself, my kids also were able to use and they are also self taught. its worth a look at their web site regards don Nash |

I have used several packages. In My experience, the easiest to learn, although not always the easiest to use for 3D has been TurboCAD. |

hi, for me it was rather easy to start with kompas-3d. we wanted to find something not very expensive, but with standard functional. At the site they have free 30 days trial, so we had enough time to try it. Julia |

I have found that both Solid Edge and Solid Works are super easy to learn in a short period of time. |

solid works is easiest. i learnt it by myself when i was a student. very simple tutorial to follow through. even the cosmoworks could be understood easily.
now i use pro-Engineer. this one not so user friendly but once you know how to use it, you'll feel its power. but i still like solidworks |
