Dear All
I am an electrical engineer and working in a plastic molding company in the development field. I am very interested in design of mold dies using solidworks.So I require your suggestion whether I can paroceed with learning solidworks......

transitioning from EE to mold designer may be tough... i have taken the solidworks mold design course and it should be a great help. however, if you're new to solidworks, their advanced part modeling course is a prerequisite and of course you should take the essentials course first.

Hi,, Any of the 3D CAD programs are awesome for molds. My choice is Inventor. If you don't have solidworks availability you can go to solidworks web site and download a 6 month full version with license to try out. It's called solidworks stimulus package.
