thread height calculation for V thread

Dear sir,

Please let me know how to calculate thread height.

my requirement is M32*1.5 mm pitch.


for the above requirement, hoe to find thread height.

i will be thankful if you respond at earliest.

Depth = the pitch X cos of 30°

This gives the depth of sharp threads. Actual threads will be different accordingly to the radii at the root and crest.

Dear sir,
thanks for your reply. herewith i am attaching one JPEG file which contains thread datas. in that i have seen Hs = Basic height of External Thread = 0.61344 x P

Please let me know how he gas got the value (ie, 0.61344).

Pitch X the cos of 30° is the depth of sharp threads (point to point).

To figure for actual root and crest radii of your thread you must calculate the tangents of the radii you use into the formulas.
