Need to calculate the Torque for the Damper of size 800mm dia, air Pressure inside the duct 1100 mm Wg and the extended shaft dia 50mm which is connected to actuator. The weight of the Damper Blade arrangement is 30 Kg.
What are factors to be considered and what are the formulae to be used for calculating the total torque due to pressure inside and Leverage of the extended shaft and also torque due to rotation of the blade at closed condition?

Many of the damper manufacturers have a calculator at their websites to do this and many other duct functions.
