Hello
I am designing an autoclave for curing carbon fibre parts of racecars but need some help,it will have an approx internal dia of 24" or 42" with a length of 8 feet.I propose to have a door that is bolted shut and it will have a welded on dished end at the blind end whilst at the opening end it will have a flange welded to both the main vessel body and the dished end that will be hinged, sealing will be with an o ring. I need help on calculating the wall thickness for the main vessel and the dished ends and the number and size of bolts required to hold the door shut for the two size options. The vessel will be heated to a maximum of 120 degrees centigrade and will have a maximum internal pressure of 90 PSI. Thanks in advance Del

It should be built under ASME Section 8 Div 1 code, and be inspected. Or, the simple thing would be to just get an autoclave unit that is already made for this process from a company like ASC that builds them for the composite industry.

You shall look for a professional help.
Vessel under internal pressure are ruled all over the world by standard.
The most know is ASTM VOL VIII
