Hi Welcome to the forum. Is this what you are looking for? I use these guys.

https://www.whittet-higgins.com/

McMaster-Carr is a distributor for them.

Hi Marky,

Thanks, actually i'm looking for something a little different. Perhaps collared nut might be a better term, though the collar is deep.

My application is mounting a sheetmetal plate with capacitive discharge studs (i.e. welded on studs)onto an extremely high voltage transformer box that has a thick casting in the front. The customer will nut it from the inside and wants to minimize the bolt threads scuffing the holes due to vibration.

Another use might be a bike tire or boat propeller were the nuts outer shaft would be the inner bearing surface.

Please see the attached picture. The shaft in the one i'm looking for would be smaller than the nut face, but obviously bigger than the hole.

Thanks,
John

Your application is not a standard ISO, ANSI, ASME fastener. Searching through fastener suppliers is probably a waste of time. You may need to design your own and/or research where the fastener came from you show within your picture.

I would search for "Specialy Fasteners" within Google...

A metric barrel nut would also work.

Kinda looks like what you want....another pic of the final assy will help a bit more.

To echo Kellys sentiments..I would feel more comfortable implementing a custom design....high voltage can be nasty.
